Linda Strachan is pursuing her masters in social work at Columbia University School of Social Work, to be completed in 2022. To fulfill her fieldwork requirements she is doing a part-time internship with Fairwinds. Linda’s contributions to the agency include covering shifts in our Urgent Behavioral Health Clinic, conducting Massachusetts Impaired Driving trainings, running a parenting support group in collaboration with the Community School, developing training materials, conducting intakes, and more. Linda has been with Fairwinds in her other capacity, at the Seconds Shop, for six years, as director for three. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Services and Psychology from Northeastern University. Linda has lived on Nantucket for almost thirty years, raising six children, and devoting time and energy to philanthropic projects.
