Christina (Chrissie) McHenry is a principal at The Raben Group, a national public affairs, strategic communications firm based in Washington, DC. She provides sophisticated communications and DEI counsel to a wide array of nonprofit, advocacy, philanthropic, and corporate clients. The result of decades of covering politics for a number of leading news organizations, including ABC News Nightline and holding a variety of roles with CBS News is that Chrissie approaches communications with a journalist’s eye.

She also has a deep commitment to and robust experience with supporting the communications efforts of hundreds of community development organizations born in part from her time as Director of Communications at Fannie Mae and Senior Vice President for public relations at Community and Corporate Responsibility and NeighborWorks America. Chrissie has extensive experience with politically sensitive stakeholder and funder messaging and outreach. At the corporate level, Chrissie has worked in crisis communications, reputational risk, and community relations, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion.

Chrissie sits on the board of Solar United Neighbors. She is a former two term member of the board of the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club and today heads their Marketing and Communications Committee. She has been a Sconset summer resident for almost 20 years. In her spare time, she loves to needlepoint and is planning an eventual Appalachian Trail thru-walk (despite the skepticism of her three children).
