Karen Eveleth


Karen Eveleth moved from the Boston area to Nantucket in 2018. Her background in education and as a nonprofit volunteer positions her well for her new role at Fairwinds. A former English and ELL teacher who also worked as a language skills specialists for international students, Karen has worked on-island for The Nantucket New School and Strong Wings in development and community engagement. She has served on the board of a sailing camp in Maine and has volunteered with the National Brain Tumor Society, Big Brother/Big Sister of NY, and Adopt-a-Family programs. She has also written curricula for Planned Parenthood. Karen holds a BA in English from Salem State University, and is passionate about helping teach children the tools to find success and reach their full potential. She loves working with students and their families at Fairwinds Counseling Center as a Therapeutic Mentor and Community Support Provider. During her free time, Karen and her family love to bike the many beautiful off-road paths on Nantucket
