Daniel Griffin moved to Nantucket during the summer of 2019, relocating from Batesville, AR, where he served as the director of grants for Lyon College. As a development specialist, his passion lies in pursuing true, sustainable solutions, ensuring the mission of an organization is the main focus. Daniel has an executive master’s in nonprofit administration from the University of Notre Dame and over ten years of experience working with a vast array of nonprofit organizations across the country through development and communications. While in the U.S. Peace Corps Rwanda, he served as a community development and health volunteer working with a women’s cooperative in the fight against HIV/AIDS and malnutrition. He began his first experience in the mental health field as a case manager for Community Counseling of Bristol County, supporting community members with a dual diagnosis to engage in services at a critical stage in their recovery process. Beyond these pursuits, he can be found running the many trails crisscrossing the island, or waiting patiently for the next wave off one of Nantucket’s beaches.
