In-home Therapy; Outpatient Therapy; UBHC
David has been a year-round resident of Nantucket since 2014. He began working for the Nantucket Comedy Festival’s Stand Up and Learn Program coaching adolescents on island in the art of stand-up comedy. Through his involvement with this program, David developed a passion for working with children and families and began working at Fairwinds as a Therapeutic Mentor. At the Smith College School for Social Work, he began to focus more directly on Family Systems Work with a strong emphasis on a Strength’s Based approach. During David’s first clinical placement he returned to Fairwinds and provided Outpatient and In-Home Therapy. David graduates with a Master’s in Social Work in August of 2020. He is excited to be back at Fairwinds for a third time where he can focus on working with children and families around issues of anxiety, depression, and substance misuse related issues. David has performed at the Nantucket Comedy Festival and hosts a weekly open mic in the winter at The Corner Table.
