Fairwinds is always here for you. Read on to see how we will continue to provide services remotely.
Fairwinds—Nantucket’s Counseling Center’s primary goal during this stressful time is to take care of the mental health needs and physical security of our clients and staff. The agency is following the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the Governor of Massachusetts in seeking to flatten Covid-19’s curve and keep our staff, clients, and fellow Nantucketers safe.
As of this week, we are performing all regular services remotely. We are increasing our on-line HIPPA-compliant tele-health bandwidth so that our clinicians can continue to see clients without interruption in care.
- We are answering phones.
- We are responding to every call.
- We are scheduling remote appointments.
- We are continuing to keep the virtual doors of our free Urgent Behavioral Healthcare Clinic open via tele-health and phone.
If you or anyone you know needs to access care at Fairwinds, including unscheduled UBHC visits, have them call our number (508-228-2689) between 5 and 6, weekdays. A clinician will return the call. The urgent care services of the UBHC will continue to be free, no appointment necessary, with people treated on a first come-first served basis.
To prepare for a remote session you can download the Go-to-meeting app (image below) or simply click on the link that will be emailed to you when you call.
As always, anyone in crisis should call 911 or the mobile crisis unit at (877) 784-6273.
